NOSH Enhances Emergency Response Capabilities with Donation of CBRN Equipment to Local Fire Departments

August 16, 2024, Marathon, ON – The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is proud to announce the donation of specialized Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) equipment to local fire departments. This significant contribution ensures that our firefighters have rapid access to the critical tools they need in the event of a CBRN emergency.

The equipment, which will be stored in an enclosed trailer for easy and quick access, greatly enhances the ability of fire departments across the region to respond effectively to hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incidents. This donation not only strengthens their capacity to manage and mitigate emergencies but also provides essential training opportunities to keep their skills sharp.

"Enhancing the safety and preparedness of our community is a top priority for NOSH," said Adam Brown, NOSH CEO. "This donation ensures that our local fire departments are equipped with the necessary tools to respond swiftly and effectively to any CBRN incident, protecting both the public and the environment."

The equipment has been distributed to fire departments in Marathon and Schreiber, with representatives from both departments expressing their gratitude and readiness to utilize this new asset. This collaborative effort between NOSH and local fire services underscores the importance of preparedness in safeguarding our communities.
