NOSH update

To help contain any further spread of the virus, the Wilson Memorial General Hospital will be limiting visitors to 2 Essential Care Partners per patient/resident until further notice. An Essential Care Partner is defined as someone who provides physical, psychological and/or emotional support, that is deemed important to the patient’s care by the care team in collaboration with the patient.

NOSH will also be implementing outbreak management measures, including increased infection prevention and control practices and surveillance testing for affected individuals.

All patients, along with NOSH staff who work at Wilson Memorial General Hospital, will be closely monitored for symptoms.

NOSH will be working closely with the Thunder Bay District Health Unit to manage the outbreak and to protect their patients and staff.
