North of Superior Healthcare Group Reaches 90% of Families Closer to Home Fundraising Goal

Marathon, ON – The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is thrilled to announce a significant milestone in the $2 million Families Closer to Home fundraising campaign. Thanks to the generosity of our communities and donors, we have reached 90% of our fundraising goal, leaving just $200,000 remaining to fully fund the new 14-bed long-term care wing, Barrick Care.

The Families Closer to Home campaign is focused on providing direct financial support for Barrick Care, a facility that will ensure local families can access high-quality long-term care close to home. The new wing will alleviate the need for individuals to seek care far from their loved ones, fostering stronger community ties and enhancing quality of life for residents and their families.

“We are overjoyed with the incredible support we have received so far,” said Mitchel Hatton, Administrative & Fundraising Coordinator at NOSH. “The passion and generosity shown by our community demonstrate just how much this project means to everyone. With only $200,000 left to raise, we are closer than ever to achieving our vision of Healthy Communities.”

Adam Brown, CEO of NOSH, added, “The Families Closer to Home campaign is about more than just building a new facility; it's about strengthening the bonds within our communities. We are deeply grateful for the contributions we've received to date and are confident that, together, we will cross the finish line.”

The Barrick Care wing is poised to become a vital part of NOSH's commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare services to the region. With construction completion set for the spring of 2025, the funds raised will ensure the facility is equipped with all necessary resources to support its residents.

Donations to the campaign are still being accepted and will make a direct impact on the lives of those in need of care within our communities. To contribute to the Families Closer to Home campaign, please visit NOSH's website at www.nosh.ca/barrick-care or contact Mitchel Hatton at 807-229-1740 ext. 224.

Together, we can achieve this goal and bring Barrick Care to life.
