NOSH Nears Fundraising Goal for Families Closer to Home Campaign

The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is thrilled to announce that the Families Closer to Home fundraising campaign has reached 94% of its $2 million goal in support of Barrick Care, a new 14-bed Long-Term Care home being attached to the existing Wilson Memorial General Hospital. With $1,877,000 raised to date, the campaign is in its final stretch, and NOSH is calling on the community to help push it across the finish line before the donation deadline of May 4, 2025.

The Families Closer to Home campaign was launched to ensure that more seniors and individuals in need of long-term care can remain in their home community rather than relocating to facilities far away. Barrick Care will provide high-quality, compassionate care while enhancing the capacity of Wilson Memorial General Hospital to serve the region.

"We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community, businesses, and supporters who have contributed to this important initiative," said Mitchel Hatton, Fundraising Coordinator of NOSH. "With just 6% left to raise, we are confident that, together, we can reach our goal and bring this much-needed facility to life."
