Gastrointestinal Outbreak Announcement
August 28, 2023 – The North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) is pleased to announce that the Gastrointestinal Outbreak at Wilson Memorial General Hospital on both Acute and Continuing Complex Care (CCC) wings has been officially declared over by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) as of August 28, 2023
We would like to thank the patients of Wilson Memorial General Hospital for their support, trust, and patience as we navigated through this outbreak. We would also like to thank the NOSH staff who worked tirelessly to manage the outbreak and keep spirits up for those in isolation.
To everyone in the community who has sent us well wishes and message of support over the past weeks, thank you! Your support helped the Wilson Memorial General Hospital staff and patients/residents stay positive throughout these challenging times.
All visitation, programming and services have now resumed. We would like to remind you to please refrain from visiting patients in the hospital if you are feeling unwell.
