Respiratory Outbreak Announcement
April 28, 2023 – The North Shore Family Health Team (NSFHT) and the North of Superior Healthcare Group (NOSH) are pleased to announce that the respiratory outbreak at Wilkes Terrace Long-Term Care has been officially declared over by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit as of April 28, 2023. General visitation has now resumed. Mandatory masking and hand hygiene remain in effect.
We would like to thank the residents of Wilkes Terrace Long-Term Care for their support, trust and patience as we navigated through this outbreak. We would also like to thank the NOSH staff who worked tirelessly to manage the outbreak and keep the spirits up for those in isolation.
To everyone in the community who has sent us well wishes and messages of support over the past weeks, thank you! Your support helped the Wilkes Terrace LTC staff and residents stay positive throughout these challenging times.
